MY TOP FIVE
Flooded in Doubt

In September 2006, I reported from New Orleans with a photographer and TV reporter on the recovery of the city after Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing flood. I kept a blog during the trip, wrote a longer narrative upon my return and coordinated a multimedia package. doc mp3 blog

Villagers Say Forced To Join Army

Acceptance or Exclusion?

Initially published online and in the paper the next day, my story was the first in the state. AP and competing newspapers picked it up later. doc
